After staying up late creating my Avatar, I was really tired this morning. So when I finally got out of bed it was to grab a control and keep playing with the NXE. As I figured, Netflix is the one thing I love most. Being able to have that content one my 360 is well worth the $50 a year price tag of the Xbox Live Gold Subscription. Granted there is a $15 a month Netflix subscription in there too, but again, totally worth it.

The only issue I have right now is nothing in my queue is in HD and lots of the older movies are in the 4:3 (full screen) ratio by default. A few clicks of the button, fixes that.

By the time most people read this, the NXE will have gone full public so enjoy!

Finally!

I downloaded the NXE a little while ago. I made my Avatar, watched some Netflix, and played around with it for about an hour. So far, so good. More tomorrow, I need to sleep now.

It’s Coming…

Over the last couple of months more and more details have been popping up about the New Xbox Experience.  Personally, I have been eagerly waiting for the Netflix streaming.  There had been questions asked of Microsoft about weather HD content would be available and MS would put the burden of answering on Netflix, from what I could tell.  No dates were ever given, but rest assured they were working on it.  Fair enough.  These things take time.

 

Then I see this.  Yup, that whole HD streaming thing is coming sooner then anyone thought.  It would seem my choice to buy a 360 and sign up for Netflix last year was the smartest thing I had ever done.  At this point I have really no reason to buy a PS3 anymore and my guess is this all but kills any rumor of a Blue-Ray enabled Xbox. 

 

All I have to do now is sit back and hope to God that I get into that NXE preview so I can start wasting more time before everyone else.
